Occupational Therapy Services

Our occupational therapy services promote health and enable individuals with disability or injury  to improve their functional independence in their activities of daily living. We also assist people by reducing barriers to  access in their home, work and community.
 
We provide the following services for children and adults in Manitoba with developmental disabilities, orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, amputations, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders and more. The following Occupational Therapy Services are provided at $95.00 per hour:

  • Home Safety and Access Assessments
  • Worksite Assessments
  • Vehicle Assessments
  • Functional Assessments
  • Personal Care Assessments
  • Future Cost of Care Assessments
  • Percentage of Duties Assessments
  • Permanent Impairment Assessments
  • Scarring Assessments
  • Life Skills Training
  • Sensory Programming
  • Wheelchair and Seating Prescription
  • Consultation on Disability Related Products
  • Assistive Technology and Computer Access Assessments
 Special Interest Group Training Sessions  (Group rates apply)
  • Safe Lifting and Back Injury Prevention
  • Creating Sensory Rich Environments
  • Facilitating Fine Motor Skill Development
  • Power Mobility Training
  • Nutrition and Healthy Living
  • Introduction to Wheelchairs and other Disability Equipment     

Insurance Coverage

Private Occupational Therapy is currently not covered by Manitoba Health. Private insurance, Government Agencies  and some Employee Benefit Plans will cover the cost of many O.T. services. Contact us for details regarding insurance coverage.
