Company Information

Enabling Access, founded in 2005, is a privately owned company providing therapeutic and ergonomic consultation in Manitoba and surrounding regions. Enabling Access provides both Rehabilitation services and Ergonomics and Workplace Injury Prevention services. Our occupational therapy services enable individuals to safely access their environments and improve independence and productivity in activities related to self care, work and leisure. We also assist business’and their employees create healthy and safe working environments using best practice principles of ergonomics and injury prevention education.  Ergonomic and workplace injury prevention services are designed to educate management and staff, identify risks, prevent injuries, decrease sick days, increase productivity, accommodate employees with disabilities and improve overall employee moral and health.  
  
Marnie Courage
is the owner and Principal Consultant at Enabling Access. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with over ten years experience working in Manitoba in both the public and private business sectors, providing occupational therapy services for children and adults living with illness and disabilities. She has developed sucessful, well recognized, workplace injury prevention programming, for both office and industrial based companies, including many national agencies. Marnie is certified in the Matheson Ergonomic Evaluation, Functional Capacity Evaluation, Job Demands Analysis and Post-Offer Pre-Placement Testing.(Roy Matheson, Las Vegas, Nevada). She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (University of Manitoba) and a Bachelors Degree of Medical Rehabilitation in Occupational Therapy (University of Manitoba). Marnie  is a regular guest lecturer for the Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Manitoba.  Marnie also works with architects to design accessible spaces and provides disability related expert witness testimonials.

Angela Morelli
is an Associate Consultant at Enabling Access. She is a registered Occupational Therapist who is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba. Angela graduated with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (University of Manitoba) and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (University of Manitoba).  She has experience in the assessment and treatment of a variety of physical and mental health conditions in a variety of settings including hospital, rehabilitation, long-term care and community. Angela has extensive experience in conducting home access assessments in addition to seating and wheelchair assessments with a solid knowledge base of the most modern disability related products, assistive technology and seating systems. Angela also has an interest in preventing workplace injuries through ergonomic evaluations as well as providing consultation on sensory programming and
computer access issues.
 
 
Lindsay Horsman
is an Associate Consultant at Enabling Access.. She is a registered occupational therapist and holds full membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba, the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists. Lindsay has worked in the area of vocational rehabilitation conducting Functional Capacity Evaluations, Job Demands Analysis,
Post-offer Pre-placement screenings and ergonomic assessments.  She has a special interest in preventing injuries in the workplace through sound ergonomic programming.  Lindsay graduated with a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation (University of Manitoba) and has a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree
(University of Manitoba). 
 
 
Lori White 
is an Associate Consultant at Enabling Access.  She is a registered occupational therapist who has worked in both the mental and physical health fields for the last eight years. Her client population has included a variety of age groups including school-aged children and adolescents to older adults.  Lori graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation (University of Manitoba) in 2000.   Lori holds full membership and is in good standing with the
Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy and the College of Occupational Therapists
of Manitoba.
  
   
 
Adrianna Szarek
is a yoga instructor born in Poland, Adrianna moved to Winnipeg in 1987.  She began practicing yoga in 2004.  She practiced hot yoga for a couple of years before heading out to Fort Lauderdale for training.  In June, 2006, Adrianna completed her training in The Barkan Method Hot Yoga.  The training gave her a great understanding of yoga and the true purpose of the practice.  Since then, she has received her level II certification and is certified through the Yoga Alliance.  She is also certified in CPR through St. John’s Ambulance.  Adrianna has always enjoyed participating in various sports and the yoga has helped enhance her performance and prevent injury.  As much as she loves teaching, Adrianna also maintains a regular practice of 2-4 classes a week and is our Lead Instructor for our Adapted Yoga proram.
